Favorites from PFW

I was slacking a little in seeing what was being shown during London and Milan fashion weeks (seriously, I'm a fashion major--I should be getting these weeks off or at least no homework) however I've been all-eyes for Paris Fashion Week and loving what I have been seeing!  My favorites are as follows:

Chanel

I would like to think that I've been having a pearl moment(also, a Chanel moment but that's a completely separate post) since I was born so I'm beyond in love with this collection.  Also, it's Chanel...I'm usually not disappointed.

Balmain

The colors and the patterns are what drew me in for this collection.  White, black and gold are my favorite for life.

McQueen

Loving everything I'm seeing in this collection.  Well, except for the headpieces... I'm no Lady Gaga, to say the least.

Miu Miu

I don't normally love prints but the lace and the jackets are to die for and I'm totally feeling the deeper colors for spring.

Dear Spring 2012, I love you

Peter Som's collection was bright and floral--everything that I love about spring--and, of course, my favorite pieces were the vibrant maxi dress(because I love maxi-anything) with a sexy slit up the left side.  I just about died when I saw them but when I realized I had so much more of fashion week to see, I slowly revived myself to click on to the next show.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Doo.Ri also had my heart.  The crisp, clean all-white looks, deep-purple pieces and muted grey suits and dresses brought me back down to earth to my neutral tones that I love so much.

(Clearly, I can't get enough.)

Marchesa, Marchesa, Marchesa.  I'm seriously trying to think of one event in my life happening in the future where I'll be able to wear one of these beautiful gowns but I might just have to settle with a glamourous dinner with friends...at my parents house.  Every situation would seem better if I was wearing Marchesa.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA.  ENOUGH SAID.

Unfortunately, school is calling my name but once I'm finished I promise I will have more updates of my favorite shows.  Until then, happy fashion week everyone!

By the way, what do you think about these collections?
Love them?  Hate them?
I need to know.

Party in the Front, Business in the Back

I'm loving the asymmetrical dress trend happening now.  I've been searching the malls high and low to find one but haven't come across anything I would consider spending my money on.  Of course, I am lucky enough to have the internet in my life and it never lets me down.  Let the fabulousness commence!

What do you think?
Love it?  Hate it?
Any fun asymmetrical trend you are loving right now?
